Department of Statistics
Our Department started its activities in 2009-2010 academic year and gave its first graduates in 2012-2013. The aim of the department is to introduce students to the place of probabilistic and statistical ideas and methods in science and technology, to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and technical applications they may need, and to train researchers who can work in the field of statistics. In addition to the general courses that all students should take, there are elective courses that are suitable for their career plans in different fields such as private sector, government organizations, industry and education. The language of instruction is Turkish. In addition, in addition to the standard foreign language courses given in other departments, foreign language reading and speaking, professional foreign language and foreign language for business life are also taught in order to increase the knowledge and skills of the students.
