Statistics is a science that covers the principles and methods used in the collection, presentation, analysis and interpretation of data. Especially in the twenty-first century, in parallel with the development of computer technology; the need for individuals with statistical thinking and analysis skills in many different sectors such as the business world, industry, medicine has increased rapidly.

Established in 2009 with this awareness, the mission of the Marmara Statistics Department is to raise intellectual individuals who have strong academic knowledge, advanced analysis and software skills, and can follow technological developments and adapt quickly.

Although our department is not as large in number as other statistics departments in Turkey, it has valuable lecturers who are experts in their fields, dynamic, following the innovations and constantly updating themselves according to these innovations.

Our department, working with the goal of becoming a brand, is proud of the achievements of its students and graduates. Every member of the Marmara Statistics family, which grows day by day, strives to add value to our country.
